Question about RØDE VideoMic Pro+

I have a Sony A7 iii, but as the Canon has a 3.5mm jack input I can't imagine that the mic can't be compatible. The mic can be mounted on the hot shoe and connected to the camera via the supplied 3.5 mm jack out.
