Question about Canon EOS R6 Mark II
Is it really worth switching from a 5D IV to the R6 II? Is the display in the viewfinder really not disturbing (flickering, blurred... )? Is the focus really perfect with EYE focus - when you photograph people (landscape no problem) from a distance of approx. 2m - 3m? With the 5D IV the focus is not always at f/4 and less when focusing on the eye....(at 50mm/85mm or more)
The move from the 5D mark IV to the R6 mark II is, in my opinion, an impressive technological leap for all these reasons:
- Focusing on the eye is drastically improved, even with notoriously slow and difficult-to-focus lenses like the EF 50 1.2 (but perfection is not of this world) and an overall great autofocus in all situations.
- the viewfinder display is very comfortable.
- the switch to mirrorless allows silent and high burst shooting (it does however induce banding in certain lighting conditions and, as the sensor is not stacked/stacked, a rolling shutter which is however among the best controlled on the market today).
- 4K without crop and the end of the 30 minutes limit for video recording.
- the significant improvement in battery life compared to previous Canon cameras.
It's a versatile camera, equally at home in both photography and video.

First of all I would like to tell you that I upgraded from the r6 to the r6m2 and that I am very satisfied with my choice.
Having never had an eos 5 m4, I can't make a comparison from my experience.
That said, the switch to mirrorless is in itself reason enough to buy a new camera.
The r6m2, while having a sensor with less MPF than the 5m4, is supposed to deliver the same level of resolution.
In all other respects, the r6 m2 is far superior.
The viewfinder is very readable and fluid.
The speed and precision of the auto focus will surprise you.
