Is it possible to turn off the sound when pressing the shutter button on this camera?

Yes, you can do this in the menu under Beeps, Shutter off. However, a very soft clacking sound remains.

You can control the signal tones.
Please proceed as follows: MENU → (Setting) → [Signal tones] → desired setting.
You have 3 options:
On (default setting):
Sounds or beeps are generated when, for example, the correct focus is achieved by half-pressing the shutter button.
Shutter:
Only the shutter sound is produced.
Off:
No sounds or beeps are produced.
