Is it possible to link WLAN without WPS ? by selecting the network and entering the password via the display?

Yes, that is possible, directly in the device menu. This is not described in the user manual and in the FAQ's in the Brother Solution Center, but I just tried it. The device searches in the W-LAN menu for SSID's in the area, if you confirm the desired one, it asks for a password.
