Is it possible to disconnect the left and right plugs to connect 2 speakers that are about 1m away from each other?

You can already disconnect it. Connecting the speakers less so. What exactly do you have in mind? Wouldn't you rather buy speaker cables? If you intend to connect normal speakers to a stereo connection, this is not possible. You must always distinguish between active and passive speakers.
