Question about Ryze Tech Tello
Is a wifi connection mandatory for using this drone? I probably won't have wifi everywhere on holiday :/
I don't understand why Exeswiss' answer is downvoted... He is absolutely right, it only needs a wifi or mobile data connection for firmware updates. The multicopter builds its own wifi (own "name" SSID), which can be used everywhere where the frequencies are legal. But beware: Firstly, this is primarily a toy and secondly, there are countries that do not consider the flying of model aeroplanes to be quite so easy, as there are sometimes (even with this toy!) high fines at stake. So find out where you are allowed to fly and how
No! You need the Wi-Fi connection anyway to pair your smartphone with the Tello.
