Question about D500 Body - 111220

I would like to finally buy a "proper" system camera. Is this camera also suitable for landscape and architecture photography, or would an FX (such as the D750) be better? It is advertised as a sports, wildlife and action camera... And 20.9 MP doesn't sound like much. Has anyone had any experience of cropping and enlarging images from the camera? Or will they then become blurred?

Helpful answer

I have been shipping the D500 for just over a month now for sports photography. I chose it for two main reasons. Firstly, the 4K video function and the fast FPS rate in continuous shooting. Unfortunately, something comparable in full format is much more expensive. But if you want to use it more for landscape/architecture, I can recommend the D750. You can certainly get more out of it and you don't

have to rely on a fast shutter release or autofocus. The images are very sharp with the D500, but you don't have a lot of leeway with zooming. But in the end, the lens still makes a lot of difference to how sharp or blurry the pictures become.

Good day Roman2710

Thank you very much for the quick and very detailed answer. I will probably take the full-frame camera Nikon D750, as it seems to be more suitable for my purposes.

Have a nice day
