Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC RX 10 Mark IV

I received this camera as a gift, tested it a bit beforehand and was really impressed. Personally, I have the Panasonic FZ2000 and have to say that the optics on the Sony are a lot better. As for the rest, the pros and cons more or less balance each other out. Does anyone have any information as to whether a successor product is in the pipeline? The electronics are already 7 years old...
