Question about Nikon D5300 Body

I have an old Nikon AF lens from an analogue Nikon camera. The bayonet is for Nikon-F, so it should fit. The question is: does the lens focus itself with this Nikon D5300? I have read that not all Nikon digital cameras have a built-in motor for lens control. Unfortunately, there is nothing about it in the description.

Helpful answer

The D5300 does not have a built-in motor for AF. All lenses without their own motor (especially older ones) will therefore not focus. This is in contrast to larger or older Nikon cameras like the D80.
