Question about Canon EOS R6

I currently have an EOS R, and I'm tempted to buy the R6, but I'm afraid I won't feel much of an improvement, especially if switching from the EOS R to the R6 is really useful. Would it be better to wait for a price drop on the R5?

Helpful answer

I made the switch about 2 years ago: I didn't notice any difference in image quality - except for more resolution with the R. I'm not sure what the difference is. High-ISO has a slight advantage over the R6, speed too.
The following points were decisive for me in switching to the R6: AF (incl. eye AF) clearly better, two memory card slots and the joystick instead of the rocker, which I couldn't cope with at all. Plus the clearly better video characteristics. R5 only if you really need the 45 megapixels...
If you are happy with the R and don't miss anything, it's hardly worth changing.
My tip: wait a little longer and then switch to the R6 Mark II when the prices have fallen a little.
