Apparently it can happen that the EOS R6 overheats in 4K mode (after 30-40min). If I were to use an external recorder (e.g. Atomos Ninja V or Blackmagic ATEM), would that solve the problem?

I bought the R6 (15/35mm) RF ( PS. at Canon there is still a cashback until Dec.). 
About overheating: It happened to me when I was shooting for more than 30 minutes at a time (4k log). Otherwise I never had problems.

Hello, unfortunately I cannot answer your question as I have only had the R6 for a week. There are many reports and experiences on the internet regarding overheating. I have an Atomos Ninja Flame and am only just starting to work with it. My guess is that the R6 would tend to overheat even with an external recorder. Greetings Stephan
