Do I need to do any configuration and can I do it from an iPad? I saw that there was a PowerChute app for mac and windows, is this necessary? Is it possible to connect it directly to a synology? Thanks!

Hello,
No configuration is necessary. You just have to connect the power supply and the receiver and that's all. The RMS value of the voltage measured with a "True RMS" voltmeter is indeed 230 V. However, the sine wave pattern in standby mode is not very good. Depending on which device is connected, it may not work. For example, a breathing aid for night-time apnea will not work. For the Synology I tested and it works. Be careful to respect the real power of 300 W or apparent power of 500 VA. Do not forget to plant the small yellow bridge (provided) so that the integrated battery faces its office.
