Do I have to buy the drum unit every time I use Brother toners? I have read that it prints many more pages. If so, which toner products are without a drum?

When researching replacement toners, there are always only toners including the drum unit. But I can't find a product without one anywhere. Can you help me here (links, article numbers)?

No. Only the toner cartridges. The printer signals itself when the drum unit needs to be changed. I've had the printer for over two years and it still runs on the first drum unit.
No. The drum is independent of the toner and holds many more pages than a toner set.
