APS-C is supposedly the better choice for macro photography than full-frame. Which Sony lens would be suitable for macro photography (living insects, bees)?

According to consultation, this lens Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 Makro G OSS, Full Frame E-Mount would be suitable for macro photography. :)

I photograph insects myself. And for that, a reliable AF and a longer focal length are worth their weight in gold. I also do that with the 90mm Sony macro. It's always worthwhile and, unlike the 70mm Sigma, it has an inner focus. That means the tube does not extend. We don't need to talk about 30 or 50mm for insects anyway. That is much too short. In addition to the 90mm, I often use the FE 100-400 GM with a closest focusing distance of only 98cm. That is absolutely top for insect macros.

You can, like Francesca, recommend the most expensive macro lens in the E-mount range. You can also go for the cheaper versions: Sony E 30mm F3.5 Macro, Sony 50mm F2.8 Macro, Sigma 70mm F2.8 Macro Art, Venus Optics Laowa 60mm F2.8 2x Ultra Macro or the Walimix (Samyang) 100mm F2.8 Macro.

As you can see, the choice is wide :-)
