3. Purelink HDMI (Typ A) — DisplayPort
The PI185 connects 4K HDMI sources with 4K DisplayPort devices while protecting the sensitive connection sockets. This HDMI (male) to DisplayPort (female) adapter offers several functions: it enables the connection of a 4K HDMI source to a conventional DisplayPort cable and effectively expands sources with HDMI to a 4K DisplayPort output. Additionally, the PI185 serves as a port saver, providing strain relief on the socket and a small bending radius. The HDMI side includes an additional power connector to enhance reliability in low voltage scenarios, making it a professional product for professional use. Please note that this adapter is not bidirectional and cannot be used for DisplayPort sources connected to HDMI-compatible sinks.
PureInstall DisplayPort to HDMI adapters comply with the DisplayPort 1.2A and HDMI 2.0b standards. They support resolutions up to 4K 60 Hz 4:4:4 8 bit or WQXGA with 10-bit color depth and are backwards compatible with all previous DP and HDMI versions.
The adapter converts signals from DisplayPort (male) to HDMI-A (female), effectively extending the compatibility of sources with DisplayPort output to include an HDMI connection for HDMI-compatible displays. However, the adapter cannot be used bidirectionally (from HDMI source device to DisplayPort sink).
