This simple and classic checkered notebook is one of the most popular and best-selling notebooks from Moleskine. A faithful travel companion, it is ideal for calculations and graphics as well as for jotting down thoughts and bullet points, featuring a hard cover, an elastic band for closure, and a bookmark. The chlorine-free bleached pages are thread-bound, and a foldable inner pocket provides space for loose notes. The Moleskine is the classic among notebooks. In 1997, the legendary, anonymous notebook, which had been produced for over 100 years by a French manufacturer in Tours and had carried the sketches and stories of many artists and intellectuals, was revived by a Milanese publisher. The name is attributed to the British writer Bruce Chatwin, who favored these simple black notebooks from the French paper manufacturer for his work and affectionately called them Moleskin.
