Top batteries come with a perfectible charger
The best NIMH batteries on the market (they deserve 5 stars), but this set contains a Panasonic BQ-CC55E fast charger which is known to cause the batteries to overheat. At the end of the charge, the batteries are too hot to touch! This can shorten the life of the batteries. It is best to always charge 4 batteries together, which has the effect of halving the charging intensity and extending the charging time (to about 4 hours instead of 2 hours).
If fast charging is not required, it would be better to use the Panasonic BQ-CC17 charger contained in the standard Eneloop sets, which is also more compact and contains a removable EU + US compatible plug. In this case, charging takes 7-9 hours.
