If you are looking for a smartphone with a very good camera system but do not want to spend 1,300 euros or more, the Xiaomi 17T Pro is a good choice. This mid-range flagship scores points with its proven Leica partnership and convincing image quality.
In contrast to the Xiaomi 17 (ranked 6th, approx. 820 euros), the T-models 17T (ranked 51st, approx. 595 euros) and 17T Pro are much larger. Instead of a 6.3-inch screen diagonal, they offer 6.8 inches. Furthermore, their OLEDs are brilliant and—in the case of the Pro, with up to 3,015 cd/m2—also very bright...
For years, Xiaomi's T-series has stood for smartphones that offer a lot of high-end technology at a comparatively lower price. With the Xiaomi 17T Pro, the focus is on the camera, which was developed in cooperation with Leica. Telephotography in particular is strongly emphasized - Xiaomi appropriately advertises this with the slogan "Master of Telephotography".
The Xiaomi 17T Pro offers a lot of smartphone for comparatively little money. The battery life is above average. The performance is on par with models that cost almost twice as much. The camera also takes top-notch pictures. However, we would have liked faster charging and more variation in RAM size. But given the price, that's complaining at a high level.
