Lower power and reduced heat generation compared to conventional halogen pin-base lamps. Extremely low consumption makes it ideal for permanent lighting, such as a night light in bedrooms or for walkways. When using multiple LED lamps, it is also suitable for table or task lighting. The LED lamp is designed for use in open fixtures, allowing the heat generated during operation to dissipate into the surroundings. The lifespan estimate is based on this mode of operation. Of course, the LED lamps can also be used in closed fixtures, but the lifespan will be reduced due to insufficient cooling. The LED lamp should only be used in designated fixtures.
