This is a spool from the ExcelFil series, which is wound with a continuous fiber made of PLA with a diameter of 3 mm. Polylactic acid (PLA), also known as polylactide, is a thermoplastic, high-strength plastic that is primarily produced from corn starch and sugarcane, making it particularly environmentally friendly.

With a diameter of 3 mm (laser-measured for roundness), the ExcelFil filament from Voltivo is suitable for a wide range of end-user devices for 3D printing. The spool is vacuum-sealed and delivered with a packet of desiccant in a sturdy transport box made from recycled material.
