Voltima VBS40 Charge Booster with integrated Solar Charge Controller 40A

The DC battery chargers of the VBS series are one of the most effective ways to charge the vehicle's 12V main or auxiliary battery via the alternator or a 24V or 12V starter battery, or optionally through solar power. They are compatible with a variety of alternator types and provide correct charging voltages for AGM, gel, deep-cycle batteries, and even LiFePO4 batteries. In case of driving interruptions or upon arrival at the destination, solar charging automatically starts via the solar panels on the vehicle's roof.

Compactly designed and easy to install; IP66 rated, resistant to dust, water, shocks, and extreme temperatures from -20°C to 80°C, allowing use in motorhomes, commercial vehicles, boats, yachts, and many other applications. The charge boosters are fanless and silent, have a compact size, and are equipped with a three-stage charger and multiple electronic protection devices.

Charging process in three steps:
1. Maximum current until the target value of constant voltage charging is reached
2. Current decreases, constant voltage charging mode starts
3. Stop of constant voltage charging at the corresponding battery voltage and initiation of maintenance charging

Installation of the Voltima Charge Booster: A button is used to select the battery technology: lithium or lead-acid/AGM/gel. The Battery Booster has a connection for the Voltima VBS remote control. A monitor informs the user about the current battery charge status, among other things (not included, sold separately). Additional connections, such as for a voltage measurement cable, are also available.
