Voltcraft VC131 (ISO)

The Voltcraft VC 131 handheld multimeter, calibrated (ISO) and rated CAT III 2, is your robust entry-level instrument for a wide range of measurement tasks and replaces its highly successful predecessors (the VC-130 and VC-135). The instrument features automatic range selection and can measure both DC and AC voltages. However, when it comes to current measurement, this entry-level instrument is limited to measuring direct current.

The impressive, easy-to-read EBTN display is clearly visible both in bright surroundings and in the dark. With a display diagonal of 5.6 cm (2.2 inches), all digits and symbols are displayed significantly larger, thereby preventing reading errors.

Discreetly integrated edges protect the display, the rotary switch and all buttons. A meticulously manufactured two-component casing with integrated soft rubber protection not only ensures a secure grip but also protects the meter during more demanding use.

The wide soft-rubber contact surface provides significantly greater stability when the stand is extended. The meter remains securely in position whether laid flat or standing upright with the test leads connected. When stored without test leads, the rubberised edge protection prevents it from slipping, even when the meter is lying on its display side.

The built-in LED light makes it easier to find your way to the fuse box in the dark. An NCV sensor is integrated into the front of the housing, which detects the electromagnetic field generated by a live cable. This allows you, for example, to locate the point where a crushed extension lead is interrupted, even through the insulation.

The test probes are optimally protected against contact. If necessary, a protective cap can be removed, for example to take measurements in terminal blocks. The test lead is double-insulated in two colours and features a wear indicator.
