Product details

Verbatim Durabio™ white 2.85mm 0.5kg Durabio is a polycarbonate resin based on biomaterials, developed by Mitsubishi Chemical as a glass substitute. It is already used in the automotive and mobile phone industries for products such as touchscreen, console, and dashboard covers, as well as exterior cooling grilles. Durabio offers excellent durability with high heat, scratch, and abrasion resistance and is produced under strict Japanese quality control standards. It combines the properties of polycarbonate (PC) and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), providing outstanding optical and mechanical properties. Its high resistance to heat, scratching, and abrasion, along with UV resistance, makes it environmentally friendly – BPA-free and made from a renewable raw material source (Isosorbide). Main applications include conceptual modeling for the construction, electrical, and automotive industries.
