This bracket is attached to the front of Tilta's Half Cage for the Sony a7R V and supports the Metabones PL to E Mount T-Cine lens adapter as well as other adapters with similar mounting points.

This provides an additional contact point between the cage and the lens adapter, creating a more secure connection. The dual mounting screws on both the camera and the adapter prevent the bracket from twisting and create an incredibly secure attachment.

As a result, unwanted lens shifts that could be caused by a follow focus system are minimized, and the strain on the lens mount of your camera body is limited.
