This is the MiniGen signal generator, a small shield for the Arduino Pro Mini that can generate sine, square, or triangle waves at up to 3 MHz and about 1 Vp-p. Although the MiniGen is technically a shield, it can actually be operated as a standalone board, providing the same functionality as when it is mounted on a Pro Mini.
The MiniGen offers two output sources for you to use: a 2-pin 0.1" spaced header and a u.FL connector. The output is provided with a DC offset of Vcc/2, but neither the offset nor the amplitude can be varied. By default, the MiniGen is delivered with an enabled 3.3 V regulator and should only be used with 3.3 V signals (or 3.3 V Pro Minis if you are using this as a shield), unless the jumper on the back is soldered to bypass the regulator for 5 V usage.
Features:
* 10-bit DAC for good accuracy
* 2 frequency registers
* 2 phase registers
* SPI interface driven at 40 MHz
* Operating voltage: 3.3 V (5 V with soldered jumper).
