The third member is now this smallest medium telephoto lens in its class: the 56mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary. Like the other lenses in the Contemporary product line, this lens is compact, lightweight, and yet offers exceptional image quality. Thanks to Sigma's groundbreaking technologies, this lens provides exactly the level of bokeh and the excellent light intensity expected from F1.4 lenses in the medium telephoto range. This lens completes the fast series, which now consists of portable wide-angle, standard, and telephoto lenses.

Leider bieten nicht alle Z-Kameras mit DX-Sensor ein eigenes Stabilisatorsystem

Als Porträtbrennweite oder lichtstarke Lösung für die Alltagsfotografie macht das Sigma 56mm F1.4 DC DN in der Version für das Nikon-Z-Bajonett eine sehr gute Figur. Mit ihm und seinen 16- sowie 30-Millimeter-Geschwistern erfährt die Gesamtauswahl von Z-Objektiven ein interessante Erweiterung.

Das Sigma 56 mm F1,4 für Fuji X überzeugt mit schöner Kontrastwiedergabe. Es zeichnet etwas weich, was für Porträtobjektive kein Nachteil sein muss.

Der 56-Millimeter-Variante, die in ihrer Bildwirkung einer 84-Millimeter-Kleinbild Optik gleicht, würde ein optischer Stabilisator ganz gut tun.

Die Brennweite von 56 Millimetern eignet sich an APS-C-Kameras wie den Fujifilm-X-Modellen ideal für Porträtaufnahmen. Das Sigma-Objektiv liefert in Fotos und Videos ansprechende und dank weicher Darstellung schmeichelnde Aufnahmen von Menschen.

Trotz des günstigen Preises ist das Objektiv hochwertig verarbeitet. Seine Brennweite und schöne Bokeh-Darstellung machen es zum Porträt-Spezialisten.

Die Auflösungsleistung ist sehr gut, könnte aber noch etwas höher sein. Weitergehendes Zubehör wie ein Transportetui fehlt leider.

Canon-EOS-M-Fotografen finden in dem neuen Sigma-Objektiv eine preisgünstige Alternative für Porträtfotos. Seine Leistung bezüglich Verzeichnung und Vignettierung lassen das Sigma 56mm F1,4 DC DN I Contemporary aber auch für andere Einsatzgebiete sinnvoll erscheinen.
