This USB cable with USB-A and USB-B connectors complies with the USB 3.2 specification (SuperSpeed) and is suitable for all USB 3.2 devices. It is backward compatible with the older USB standards 1.1 and 2.0. Compared to older USB cables, this cable has two additional pairs of wires for data and an extra ground connection. Thus, the USB 3.2 connectors have five additional contacts.
