Product details
The Samsung ICR18650-26F is a lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt cell (LiNiMnCoO2). It is a modified successor to the ICR18650-26F and 26H, developed for use in laptops, LEDs, industry, modelling, etc. The Samsung ICR18650-26J cell has a capacity of 2600 mAh, a minimum capacity of 2550 mAh and a nominal voltage of 3.6 V. The end-of-charge voltage is 4.20 V ± 0.05 V, the maximum discharge current is 2C (5.2 A) and the end-of-discharge voltage is 2.75 V. The positive terminal is flat (flat top) and the chemistry is LiNiCoMnO2. The dimensions are a diameter of 18.20 mm ± 0.05 mm and a height of 64.80 mm ± 0.05 mm. The weight is 45 g ± 0.01 g.
Safety instructions: Lithium cells may only be operated with protective electronics. Please note that lithium cells may only be used by qualified persons. Incorrect handling or short circuits can lead to fire or explosion.
Other properties: Lithium-ion batteries are thermally stable and are not subject to a memory effect. They work on the basis of lithium and are characterised by a high energy density.
Technical data for the Samsung ICR18650-26J - 2600 mAh, 3.6 V - 3.7 V unprotected:
Charging current and charging time (normal): 1300 mAh/3 h
Charging current and charging time (fast): 2600 mAh/2.5 h
Operating temperature charging: 0 °C - 45 °C
Discharge operating temperature: -20 °C - 60 °C
Notes: A special charger is required for charging lithium-ion batteries, which charges the batteries using a special charging process (CCCV = constant current, constant voltage). The batteries must not be charged above a voltage of 4.2 volts, otherwise there is a risk of fire and explosion. It is advantageous to charge the batteries only up to approx. 4.1 volts, as this significantly increases the service life or the number of charging cycles (possibly up to double). Only lithium-ion chargers may be used for charging.

However, cheap chargers sometimes have the disadvantage that they do not switch off safely at the end of the charging process, but continue to charge the batteries with a small charging current, which can be dangerous. Please dispose of them as prescribed by law in the municipal collection centres or in the [usually green] containers provided for this purpose by retailers. |
