This primary lithium battery is suitable for smoke detectors, alarm and security devices, and other applications requiring low base currents with superimposed pulses. All cells are hermetically sealed in stainless steel cups, which provide a low magnetic signature and are extremely resistant to atmospheric corrosion. Refer to the data sheet for information on series or parallel connections of more than one cell. Do not solder directly to the cell; use solder connection versions instead. Operating temperature ranges from -60 °C to +85 °C. The pack consists of three 1/2 AA cells (with UL approval) connected in series. Component cells feature stainless steel housing and a hermetic glass-to-metal seal, along with a plastic sleeve for battery housing and miniature latching terminals. The battery contains a non-flammable electrolyte and has no transportation restrictions. Typical applications include memory buffering, alarm and security devices, smoke detectors, alarm equipment, industrial electronics, and medical equipment.
