UHDTV is the standard for digital video transmission in the TV and multimedia sector, for example, to connect a TV with an HDMI interface to a playback device with a Mini DisplayPort connection. This cable has a Mini DisplayPort and an HDTV connector. DisplayPort is signal-compatible with HDMI.

Note: A DisplayPort-UHDTV cable can only be used in one direction: the Mini DisplayPort connector can only be used on the data source side (e.g., graphics card, MacBook, Ultrabook, notebook/laptop).
