4K at 50Hz hack
stats:
2014 Philips Brilliance 288P6 4K monitor with v.1.2 diplayport setting / Nvidia quadro K4000 card / this 5m displayport cable.

now i know why this 5m cable is cheaper than the 3m. the manufacturer guarantees 4kx2k (3840x2160) only for up to the 3m cable....with 60Hz.
the 5m cable did not go above 30Hz for me.
but it helped for me:
I made a custom resolution setting in the nvidia control panel with 3840x2160 and _50Hz_ and automatic timing.
50Hz is not 60Hz - but also not 30Hz...
