I am giving 2 stars (partially answer my expectations) because one of the reasons I bought it is for the automatic document feeder (which is duplex one-pass on this model). All the scans using the feeder are skewed in the top half. Even when scanning both sides, both sides are skewed. HP support had misunderstood my request for support and thought it was due to something stuck inside so they came and replaced the ADF top cover, then came back to replace the full ADF unit. The scans were still skewed and I complained but HP support told me that they wouldn't have come to assist if they knew this was the issue because it is expected that scans using feeder on those series 400 Pro MFP can have max 2.5mm difference (straight line appears angled for example) between bottom and top margins after scan. They told me that I must use glass scanner for precision because the Pro 400 models feeder have only one pick-up roller to catch the paper, at the center of the tray. What? So the feeder is expected to be skewed if you buy this Pro model! Not written anywhere except on a support page for another model that the technician told me is valid for this model as well... I was advised by HP to buy an Enterprise model 600 series if I don't want skewed scans with the feeder because it has 4 pick-up rollers. Did you see the size and price of those? What a pile of non-sense. I had a much cheaper HP printer Envy series a year ago and the scans with the feeder were never skewed. And it had only one pick-up roller at the center.
And of course I'm the only idiot that didn't know if I buy a pro model I should expect skewed scans! :D So obvious. I don't understand why so many good reviews? Also Scan to computer: forget about it. Same years old bundled software that still doesn't work. This printer model exists since 2018, it's just a 2021 revision.
Printing works well and I recommend the model without ADF for that purpose.
Funktioniert auch ausgezeichnet mit schwerem Papier, ideal für Bastler!
ich habe lange gesucht, bis ich den für mich idealen Drucker gefunden habe... da ich auch oft kreativ bin, mussten nicht nur meine Home Office-Bedürfnisse gedeckt sein, sondern der neue Drucke musste auch in der Lage sein, schwerere Papier zu bedrucken (Glattes Laserpapier, Aquarellpapier). Nach ausgiebigem Testen kann ich sagen, dass der Drucker bis zu 250g schwerem Papier einwandfrei verarbeitet! Das ist klasse. Auch wird bei schwererem Papier der Toner satt und dauerhaft ins Papier gebrannt (beim Vorgänger bröselte dieses oft ab). Ich bin rundum zufrieden, Preis/Leistung bis jetzt top!!

Alter Drucker ausgestiegen. Innerhalb von 24h bereits wieder im Office arbeiten können, dank der schnellen Reaktion von Digitec. Drucker funktioniert perfekt.
As much as the device is great, the software is of poor standard. It is not ergonomic, and has very little in terms of installation and set-up guidance. The worst? It is preset to "needs password on the device to allow printing"... I had to fiddle around for more than one hour to find this out and remove it. And I found no indications of how to set such ID & password!
Sehr gut im Büro. Nach 1-2 Jahre Benutzung, funktioniert einwandfrei.
1-2 Jahre Benutzt, ohne Probleme. Ist sicher ein robuster Office-Printer. Scannt und druckt Dokumente schnell und gut. Wer aber Fotos scannen oder drucken will, soll lieber was besseres kaufen. Im Vergleich zu Brother Color Laser Printer sind die Farben ein bisschen weniger satt, aber die Qualität (im Sinne Auflösung) deutlich besser.

An sich ein tolles Gerät. Völlig daneben finde ich halt, dass man zum Scannen die "HP Smart" benötigt, welche wiederum nur funktioniert, wenn man sich einloggt. Diese Nötigung ein Online Konto für eine Standard-Funktion eröffnen zu müssen, empfinde ich als völlig daneben. Würde ich deshalb nie wieder kaufen.
