It puts everything that has gone before in the shade. Time to switch to Windows Phones!

What can we say? This is probably the best smartphone in the world and the only one that deserves the name "smartphone".
Anyone can see for themselves what the specifications look like on paper. Unique and unrivalled on
    paper alone!

The only criticism I have is that there is no camera button.

Edit 1.2.2017: I have received another firmware update. It's really nice to see how HP cares for the phone. I'm more and more satisfied every day. This should be the fourth or fifth HP proprietary update. Anniversary update etc excluded.

After a few weeks/months, I can say with a fair amount of certainty that the Elite X3 leaves an immensely better, almost perfect, impression compared to the 950XL. I am really very, very satisfied. A great piece of hardware! If the camera of the 950 had been built in with a camera button, it would leave nothing to be desired. But as already mentioned several times: the camera is quite decent and anything but bad!
Everything else is better than on the 950. Windows Phone 10 is now unrivalled as a mobile OS. I'd like to say it again: Microsoft has screwed up a lot in the past regarding mobile telephony, but the current Windows 10 on smartphones is first class and the best concept! No question, no discussion! I was in the Insider Programme and am still amazed at how closely Microsoft works with the community.

That's why I spent a lot of money and finally bought the current flagship.

Before I bought it, I had several reservations because I had heard negative things about the device. But all of them were devices that had not yet been updated. Remember that HP had not yet released the sale, but devices were already being sold.

If you want a really good high-end phone that is well maintained, you will get one here.

    cool :-)

After a long wait, it's in my hands, good in almost every way I expected, but the perceived quality could be better

I can only recommend the HP Elite, great phone with good operating system and MS maintains win mobile.it is not dead :) and with the insider program app you have all the updates even earlier before release.

I have had the phone for 1 week now.it is fantastic, just good.
Win 10 runs flawlessly and there were no problems with the initial setup,HP firmware update and redstone one were installed without any problems.I even signed
up for the insider program of Win10,so patches and updates are even faster.
Iris scanner works well and so does fingerprint sensor. The camera app also works,I read it was bugged, but it works, takes good pictures.
I like the operating system with the live tiles.
The B&O speakers I also find very good for listening to music. The display is also very good and I come easily over the day with a battery charge.
I switched from Android,S6 edge and don't regret it.
And to the Win App criticism,so there are enough, thousands of apps in the store,ok maybe not all like on Android and maybe not as colourful and beautiful, but they serve their purpose and for everything else there is the browser for internet, for news etc.
Whatsapp,Facebook etc there is everything and also nice.
The keyboard with error correction is even better than Samsung and Android.
The HP is great and recommended with the mobile phone case that Digitec has, which is really good, qualitatively super with leather and it closes well.
    and it closes well.
Now I can wait 1 year until MS brings out the Surface phone.
