Great screen, I've been using it for a month as an external screen for my Macbook Pro. Displaying and writing on 4 A4 pages side by side is no problem, 3 to 4 browser windows too.
The screen is quite large and makes a high-quality impression, but I think it could still cost around 700 francs, especially because of the weak speakers.
I had originally planned to buy the current Apple screen, but I'm glad I bought the U3415W and would do it again anytime.

Must have.
Need the device for layout, photo and video.
Runs on Windows PCs / laptops with HD4000 graphics or higher in "extended desktop" mode, as well as with HDMI from MacBook (12") via USB-C > USB-Power-HDMI adapter and of course with MacBook Pro with Thunderbolt connection; even with full resolution.
For 3D gaming, it's probably more the real high-end graphics cards that are capable of full output.
The two built-in speakers are also controlled via the signal cables.
I was aware of the points of criticism, but they don't bother me. I'm getting used to adjusting the volume within the application. The USB ports for keyboard and mouse, for example, can be switched between two inputs and free up space on the table. For discs, sticks, cameras, SD cards, etc., a powered USB-3 hub is more practical for me because it is more flexible.

great monitor, took it as a replacement for three screens and am very satisfied.
You have to get used to the curved design, but it's really good, I like it.
Slight glow in the corners, but not at all noticeable when working.
