I would have expected something special on 24. Maybe there will be a better deal on 31.12.18. Is that the same as this one? https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07BK27MG6/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1638&creative=6742&creativeASIN=B07BK27MG6&linkCode=as2&tag=funthomas-21&linkId=cdf6a16b442fa408afcde3cf11e3ea68
I don't get it... Please explain!
Good morning I ordered the Zhiyun Smooth 4 on the 24th and can say that the communication between the P20P and the gimbal works great. The device connects via Bluetooth and can be operated via ZY Play. Camera movements work great and I can't complain about the quality. Configuration is simple and the quality of the recordings is top. However, I have not yet tried 4k. Nevertheless, a clear buy recommendation from me. Kind regards Flo
Sorry, I can't get a grip on the autocorrect... can't get a grip on my Note8....Summary on the gimbal : shi...gimbal = don't buy it
Unfortunately, I can't make any statement about the corresponding Iphone, but the Android app is still so bad that one has to advise against buying it, as not even all functions are properly supported. On a positive note, they keep releasing patches, so this could all change in the future. The iPhone app is supposed to be better, but it's best to check out the reviews in the App Store.
Only the USB 3.x to USB-C charging cable is included. You can buy the extra cables on Aliexpress, for example. I don't think Digitec has them in stock. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/-/32891419863.html?spm=a2g0s.8937460.0.0.489d2e0ebqxopS
Yes, it is compatible with your smartphone, but I have seen that some of the features are not of the same quality as on the iPhone.

Thanks for the information. But I'm sure it might be better to contact the manufacturer for support regarding this product.
This is possible, but you lose certain functions such as object tracking and others. You can also attach a GoPro and use that. I'm not sure if you can use the trigger on the Gimball if you don't use the app.
Android in general works, assuming you have Android 5 or higher (i think). However the application has issues with different devices. it's very hard to predict what will happen. The Gimball works without the app too. So you can attach your GoPro or whatever suits you. The main functions provided by the gimball will always work.
Yes and no. If the app is really important to you, I might recommend waiting until there are a few more updates out. But if you can handle the basics of the app (and its limitations/problems), or even work with GoPro or just the phone without the app, then it shouldn't be a problem.
Could it be that it wasn't the original charging cable? I had the impression that the USB-C plug on the supplied cable was "slightly longer". Check with another USB-C device to see if the cable has continuity. And check that the socket in the gimbal is not covered by fluff, dust etc. on the contacts. As an idea.
unfortunately I can't say, the smooth4 was a gift to my son-in-law and he uses iPhones
I assume that most commercially available devices are compatible with it. So far I have only tested it with HTC and Nokia. But attaching and connecting a Samsung phone will pretty much do the trick. Please note that this gimbal is intended for semi-professional shooting at best. The device from DJI (OSMO) would be a professional alternative.
Use the Filmic Pro app, it should work. For me, anyway.
There is a video on youtube about this exact combination and how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87uqg4nhFVU
Nop. You have to buy the stand/tripod seperatelly
The gimbal is a camera mount - in this case a smartphone mount - a very good one - but no more and no less!!! As far as I know, no external microphone can be connected to any smartphone. Best regards Magnus Z'Rotz
I have the combination and yes, it fits.
The USB port is only used for charging. A USB-C connection is installed ... --> The connection to the mobile phone is via Bluetooth.
This is highly unlikely and i am bold enough to say downright impossible. Digitec is a legitimate company and their suppliers most certainly do not include any black market companies. The more likely answer to your question is, that that zhiyun was saving (your) money by creating an international packaging, that happens to have chinese as well as english descriptions on the box. This may very well be a reason for the great pricing of the product.
Hello Hannes I have the exact same setup and the same apps as you. Unfortunately, the interaction between the filmic pro app and the Smooth 4 does not work properly for me either. I sometimes have to restart the filmic pro app several times until it works. I can only hope that there will be an update for the filmic pro app soon, because I think the problem lies with the app. Regards Tobias
I installed the app 'ZY Play' from Google Play Store on the Galaxy S7 and S8 and was able to successfully connect the devices to the gimbal via Bluetooth. In the beginning, you have to try a few times until the connection works. If the gimbal is not found in the app ('Connect your device' click), you have to close the app and restart it. In the meantime it works every time without problems and first tests were successful. According to the website (https://www.zhiyun-tech.com/smooth4/en - see Download, Software), the device is compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S9, so I think you can rely on that. I would definitely buy it - but here of course is my disclaimer: WITHOUT WARRANTY.
Yes, but given the quality of the Android app, I would reconsider buying it. The hardware is good, but many functions cannot be used without the app.
