The sound is mediocre, although the bass is relatively OK. I added a small soundbar (SAMSUNG HW-S60B) and it makes a big difference, at the price of losing the original bass (and having an extra contraption in sight with boring cables and remote control).
I have connected a PS3 via HDMI. If the DVD player also has an HDMI connection, it should work.
This is correct. It works when plugged with an Apple TV. Best Olivier
Hi Mikeryrie3, I bought the Aura a week ago. The thing doesn't need a screen, but I'm sure some dealers would love to sell you an expensive screen! For me, it goes straight onto the white painted wall. And it does so with a huge, bright and crisp 4k image, and that's even without total darkness. The Aura exceeds my expectations by far and I don't know anything comparable in this price range. Really great!
In principle, I would always recommend a screen for all types of beamers. Even relatively smooth walls can be disturbing. With a short-distance projector, I would definitely use a CLR screen: https://www.digitec.ch/search?q=CLR%20Leinwand
In principle, beamers can perform best when it is dark. However, this is a laser projector that is placed directly on the wall. Therefore, there is less light influence, which has a positive effect on the enjoyment during the day. As far as I know, you can't test devices at Digitec. You can order it and have 30 days to return it. But this is where the return policy comes in: https://www.digitec.ch/de/wiki/560
Simply connect the Swisscom Box to the beamer via HDMI, just like with a TV. Consequently, yes, possible without any problems.
