The switch does not support the Pro AV protocol. According to official Ubiquiti documentation, Pro AV Traffic Optimisation is only supported by certain UniFi switches, which does not include the UniFi USW-PRO-8-POE. Supported models include the USW-Pro-XG-10-PoE, USW-Pro-Max-16, USW-Pro-24 and others, but not the USW-PRO-8-POE.

Maybe someone here can help. I have a NAS with only a 10 GBit connection. Can I connect it to the 10 Gbit connection and then all other devices via Gigabit? The TV, SONOS and also the computers should be able to access the NAS. None of them have 10 GBit. I'm a bit stumped at the moment. Thank you all. Greetings, Sebastian

Since a recent update, the fan on the Enterprise 8 switch runs permanently at 35 per cent as soon as an SFP module is used. What is the situation with this model, which is visually identical? Can you hear the fan and is it running? The fan never ran on the Enterprise-8 until 2 firmware versions ago...I would need a desktop device that doesn't actually make any noise.

I have two SPF modules in this (non-enterprise) switch. With firmware 7.0.50, the fan level is 0, so it is off. The temperature is displayed as 49 C.

Hello everyone, Does the switch get very warm during operation? I would have to operate it in a multimedia cabinet, which offers little air circulation. Thank you for your experience.

Temps aren't an issue for me neither, but if you plan on using it to power many PoE devices maybe it will be different (I juste have one AP and one cloud key gen. 2 on PoE personally). Also, there are holes for ventilation on the top of the device, so keep in mind that you may not be able to stack another device on top of it.

I haven't tested it yet but if anyone does, there are 2 poe++ ports which, according to ubiquiti, allow it to be self-powered by another poe+ switch without using the power cable, only logically this switch requires 120w to operate... which is strange...

You have misunderstood something. This switch has a built-in power supply unit and requires 220V AC voltage to function in any case, whereby the power consumption at 220V corresponds to approx. watts. All 8 RJ45 ports are PoE++ capable and can deliver a total of 120 watts.

who managed to adopt this switch L3 on the console and which console did you use? because even in ssh I don't have the adopt function

Worked for me without any problems. Console is a Unifi Docker container - latest version. Maybe perform a factory reset with SSH? Is the device displayed in the console for adoption?
