Does the switch get very warm during operation? I would have to operate it in a multimedia cabinet, which offers little air circulation.

Temps aren't an issue for me neither, but if you plan on using it to power many PoE devices maybe it will be different (I juste have one AP and one cloud key gen. 2 on PoE personally).
Also, there are holes for ventilation on the top of the device, so keep in mind that you may not be able to stack another device on top of it.

It gets a bit warm, but it has fans. I use it in a closed cupboard and it's not a problem.
