What is the situation with this model, which is visually identical? Can you hear the fan and is it running?
The fan never ran on the Enterprise-8 until 2 firmware versions ago...I would need a desktop device that doesn't actually make any noise.

Accepted Answer

I have two SPF modules in this (non-enterprise) switch. With firmware 7.0.50, the fan level is 0, so it is off. The temperature is displayed as 49 C.

It's the same for me, but I wouldn't have noticed it because it's practically inaudible.
