Hello, Tamron 28-75 is 879 USD at B&H and here at digitec it’s 800 USD (-10%). This 70-180 is 1200 USD at B&H and at digitec 1950 USD (+60%) why this massive difference ?

What's wrong with the price? 1700 for this lens is so absurd. On B&H it costs 1199USD = CHF 1165. The Tamron 28-75 lens is even cheaper on Digitec than on B&H. So nobody can tell me that this has anything to do with Swiss taxes. Please adjust the price to make it fair for everyone, thank you.

Can you please explain that in Europe this lens costs as little as 1350 euros (1420 chf) including 20% tax but here with only 7.7.% tax you want 1699 chf which is considerably higher than the lenses recommended retail price. I could fly to America and buy it there at the retail price of 1199usd with the same amount of money that it costs here.

In Germany, the lens costs 1499 euros (1565 francs) with 19% VAT. How do you get 1899 Fr. in Switzerland? Completely absurd.

I wanted to register the lens I bought yesterday with Tamron CH. But I can't because the security sticker on the box is missing. Apparently this lens was not officially imported and it is a grey import. In my opinion, a corresponding note on the product would be mandatory. After all, it makes a difference whether you have a 2 or 10-year guarantee.

How does it handle with a tripod for landscape photography? The lack of a tripod clamp worries me a bit, also with regard to the load on the bayonet when the entire weight pulls on the bayonet when extended.

It seems that the focus is often a few centimetres further forward at smaller focal lengths. Can anyone confirm this?
