Your calculation is wrong. When you add it on B&H you need to add as well the taxes. So there is a price about Subtotal:$1,199.00 Shipping starting from $29.49 Duties & Taxes $226.90 Total$1,455.39 This is dollar. So after converting to CHF you have about 1411.- CHF. To this price you have to add the MWST in CH which will add another 7.7% to the price, including shipping -> 108.- CHF. So you get a total price of 1519.- CHF. Then post will charge you another custom fee about 15.- I remember -> 1534.- Yes it's still cheaper if you order it there. But personally I prefer to buy it locally and I don't have to be worried about after sale services. And I think this slight price difference is acceptable.
Wait half a year until the price has dropped.

So with my 70-180 I only hear a slight rubbing noise from the extension of the lens, but not from moving mechanics.
