Your calculation is wrong. When you add it on B&H you need to add as well the taxes. So there is a price about
Subtotal:$1,199.00
Shipping starting from $29.49
Duties & Taxes $226.90
Total$1,455.39
This is dollar. So after converting to CHF you have about 1411.- CHF. To this price you have to add the MWST in CH which will add another 7.7% to the price, including shipping -> 108.- CHF. So you get a total price of 1519.- CHF. Then post will charge you another custom fee about 15.- I remember -> 1534.- Yes it's still cheaper if you order it there. But personally I prefer to buy it locally and I don't have to be worried about after sale services. And I think this slight price difference is acceptable.
Wait half a year until the price has dropped.

In Trumpistan, taxes are not included and in Europe, people do not pay with USD.

Yes you just have to register it
So with my 70-180 I only hear a slight rubbing noise from the extension of the lens, but not from moving mechanics.
