What exactly is meant by Auto On and Auto Off? I have it on Auto On, but then it constantly reads, and on Auto Off it does not. The programmes set don't seem to be taken into account.

The unit then stays on until the end of the programmed time and then switches to Auto Off. With Auto Off, no current flows and the programmed times are observed. The unit then remains switched off until the beginning of the programmed time and then switches to Auto On. With On, current flows but the programmed times are not observed. When Off, no current flows and no programmed times are observed. In principle, simply follow the instructions step by step. Make sure that you have set the time including the day correctly and that a day or several days, as well as a start time (ON) and also an end time (Off) are set in the various programmes. It is best to test a programmed time which would start in 1 or 2 minutes, e.g. at 18:00 (ON) and perhaps run for 1 minute e.g. at 18:01 (Off).

Is it possible to programme the countdown once (say 90min) and then let it run like this every now and then as needed without having to reprogramme? In the meantime, the normal timer programme should run. Specifically, the unit should then serve the following purpose. I would like to have an air dryer always run automatically for 1h in the morning and 1h in the evening. Sometimes, however, it would be good if I could run the dryer for 90min during the day, e.g. when I have hung up laundry. I don't want to have to reprogram the countdown every time, but I would prefer to be able to change it at the touch of a button. When the countdown is finished, the appliance should run with the timer again.

Hello - Yes, this is possible. If 90 min. contdown is programmed, you can run the contdown with the HOUR and MIN buttons together. Afterwards, the timer programme automatically continues as normal. To get to the Contdown menu, you have to trudge through all 20 on/off switching times, i.e. press the SET key for a long time or 40 times! However, once programmed to e.g. 90 min, this value remains. To call up and start the CTD (Contdown) preset, you only have to press the HOUR and MIN keys together. The same key combination can also be used to switch the contdown off again; the MANUAL key stops it and switches it on again. Contdown can be programmed in minute increments, from 1 min. to 23 h 59 min. When the contdown is running, it has priority, even if on-off programming would be due during this time. After the contdown has elapsed, it switches the connected unit off and the timer programming becomes active automatically, if the display shows AUTO in the upper left corner. The MANUAL button can also be used to switch the unit on and off manually.

I can't get the random function to work. In addition to pressing the HOUR button for 4 seconds (which brings on the RND indicator), and selecting AUTO ON or AUTO OFF as appropriate, what else do you have to do to get the random generator to function? The French manual says "Pour fonctionner, le générateur aléatoire a besoin que d’une programmation de commutation." What does that mean? In what way is the random function related to the normal programmed time function?

What is the power consumption of the timer when no terminal is switched on? (Note: Since it is almost certainly a low wattage, an accurate ammeter is necessary).

I am in the situation where I have to switch from "AUTO ON" to "ON". When I now press the button to switch, I inevitably pass the "OFF" option. Does the socket then switch off immediately or is there a short delay between mode switching so that I have the option of not disconnecting the attached devices from the power immediately when switching?

Can I set different times on each day of the week? e.g. Monday power off at 10:00, Saturday at 12:00, etc?

Yes, you have 20 programme positions, each with ON/OFF. For each ON/OFF programme position, you can either select a single day of the week or groups of days (e.g. weekdays, weekends, etc.). It is described in the detailed (German) manual from chapter 6 onwards.
