Hello, 1. wired is only for emergencies when the battery is dead. All ANC headphones, as far as I know, rely heavily on DSP as they are designed mainly for the ANC function. So it is normal that anything that works when switched off will not sound good. 2 But there are others who think they sound better with a cable. 3. personally, I only use the headphones via Bluetooth and they do their job perfectly. But I'm not that much of an audiophile! Did my answer help you? Yours sincerely

Yes, you can connect the headphones to an aircraft monitor using the supplied 3.5mm jack connector, just like the WH-1000XM4. The official Sony help confirms that the jack cable is intended for wired operation in aircraft and supports noise cancellation. However, an aircraft adapter is not included, you may need to purchase it separately.

Yes, these headphones work well for Zoom calls with built-in microphones, hands-free functionality, and noise reduction. Pair them via Bluetooth, set as default mic and speaker in your system settings, and select them in Zoom for clear audio. Wear them correctly with earpads snug and microphones uncovered for optimal voice pickup using AI beamforming. The Sony Sound Connect app offers optional settings like noise canceling adjustments. Reviews confirm excellent call quality for Zoom meetings.

TLDR: No These helmets do not have an IP rating. They are therefore not certified. Given the price and the quality of the helmet, I wouldn't risk using them in the rain.

Hello, for the human ear it has no influence whether with cable or without cable only with Bluetooth! But it is correct that the better sound quality can be heard with a cable. Yours sincerely

Hello, The Sony WH-1000XM6 are equipped with advanced noise cancelling technology, which is particularly effective for even and low-pitched noises such as the hum of an air conditioner or driving noise. Sudden and muffled noises, such as the pounding footsteps of your neighbour, can be attenuated by the technology. However, it is difficult to completely suppress such noises. The headphones will help you to significantly reduce the disturbance, but the sounds may still be quietly audible. We hope that we have been able to help you with this. Sony Europe

I have a Sony WH-1000XM5 and it's practically useless for making calls in an environment with background noise, I keep getting complaints that the call is very tiring due to the background noise. On the other hand, with all my Jabras (Evolve 65&75, Evolve2 65&75) I get consistently positive feedback regarding the voice quality for the other side. I have not tried XM6 vs 85, but I suspect that there is no significant difference compared to the older models. Conclusion: for telephony, Jabra

Yes, when you connect the 3.5mm cable, Bluetooth is switched off (when the headset is switched on). Conversely, the headset immediately switches back to Bluetooth when you disconnect the cable (when the headset is switched on). Note point "Using the supplied headphone cable" in the help guide: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr...

The current model series continues to support the Bluetooth profiles for audio (A2DP) and calls (HFP/HSP) as separate device profiles. This means that during a call on PC or Playstation, you will still only hear the voice-optimised call quality as soon as the headset is connected as a headset (hands-free). The full audio quality is not available during a call, as the headset is then running in HFP/HSP mode. This behaviour has remained unchanged with the WH-1000XM6. The official product data and manufacturer's specifications do not confirm any change in this behaviour compared to the previous model.

Yes, these headphones support multipoint connectivity, which means you can pair them with multiple devices and seamlessly switch between them. They offer a multi-point and auto-switch function that makes it easy to switch between devices.
