It works fine with the A7RIII, so I would say with the A73 as well.
I can't answer this question for sure because I don't have a Sony camcorder. But according to the Sony website, this remote control should work with the camcorder. It is also listed as an accessory for this camcorder.
I have this remote control with infrared receiver with the camera Alpha 7 II camera!
Infrared, so a few metres like a TV remote control. You can have it second-hand from me, I don't need it any more.
