Can this RMT-VP1K remote control also be used with the Sony FDR-AX700 camcorder?

I can't answer this question for sure because I don't have a Sony camcorder. But according to the Sony website, this remote control should work with the camcorder. It is also listed as an accessory for this camcorder.
