Unfortunately, I can't test this as I can't generate a DisplayPort signal.
But even if the cable could, the first question is whether your monitor supports it.
After researching on the Internet, this is unfortunately very unlikely.
Select your LG monitor as the main screen in the settings. Then it also works with the closed Mac Book.
Yes, the DP-Alternate Mode is identical for Windows + Mac. If you attach only one monitor through USB-C.
Hoi - I searched for a long time yesterday for your question, but I didn't find anything at Sonero (or Purelink) - somehow I can't find this requirement or the specifications almost anywhere. But 60hz at 4k is quite a number.
That's why I ask the question in reverse: Well, that's what you need for gaming, so that you can do it longer and without getting tired, isn't it? Do you already have the monitor and also a cable (exactly the same, just not from Sonero USB-C to HDMI) for it?
Test it with a current "but the street cable or cheap" cable, whether you get 1920x1080@144hz? If yes - OK ;) and if no: OhOK...

Due to the supported bandwidth it should work, but I could not find any official indication from the manufacturer whether this works or has been tested.
It is supposed to work with any device that has USB-C that supports alternate mode (which allows a video signal to be passed through USB-C). MacBook Pros are normally equipped with this since 2015. However, it is limited to 60Hz.
