Can the right-angle plug be rotated? If. If you insert the plug shown in the picture into a triple socket, the cable runs towards the centre of the socket.

Plug is not rotatable, cable goes to the centre of the socket with triple sockets. With a plug-switch combination, the cable goes downwards. So if the switch is on top, no problem.

How many millimetres is the cross-section of the thing? Is it about 33x42mm like the old version, or really 45x55mm as stated here in the description? Many thanks for measuring!

So mine is 38mm high and 32mm wide and is 310mm long.
