Questions about Roline USB 2.0 cable

After no one from the community and digitec.ch could answer my question, I got the answer from SECOMP Electronic Components GmbH from 76275 Ettlingen DE. All ROLINE cables with gold contacts have a real gold coating. The coating thickness is 30µm (i.e. 30 micrometres = 0.03mm). SECOMP could not tell me what percentage (or in carats) of real gold is contained in the coating. I suspect that only the Chinese producer could answer this question.

No idea! You have to check the plugs and sockets. And you can get a cable like this for testing, it's a normal USB printer cable.
