I know the problem well and was very disappointed for the first time this year.
So that this doesn't happen to you:
1. find an alternative
2. call the customer service and be very patient, it can take more than 30 minutes at the moment.
3. ask if they already know more and what the problem is
4. ask for another product or tell them your suggestion.
This is always very annoying and it happens even without Corona.

I bought a set of adapters. This also means that I haven't tried out all of them in every respect. This also includes the DVI - HDMI adapter. So unfortunately I can't answer the question, but I assume that everything is connected 1:1 and that the smoit works.
