Yes, if the docking station has an HDMI output and the monitor has a DVI input.
You still need an HDMI cable (with HDMI plugs at both ends).
I have connected an HP LP2065 to a MacBook Air with a USB-C to HDMI adapter on the Mac.) It works perfectly.
I wanted the thing to connect a device that doesn't have an HDMI connection. But be careful that the same thing doesn't happen to you as it did to me: after a few minutes I had lost it and couldn't find it.....
I don't have a docking, so unfortunately I can't judge that. I only needed another HDMI connection for the 2nd monitor.
(it only has HDMI - IN) because my graphics card at the back of the PC (not a laptop) has 1x HDMI 1x display and 1x VGA. and I needed but 2x HDMI because that is more elegant and easier. So if the docking has a display off, which is then to be HDMI, that fits fine.
